What you will learn (and how it is taught)
This programme is built around a simple instructional cycle: a concept explained in plain language, a worked example, a short exercise, and a “review pass” that makes the output dependable. The goal is not to collect trivia about tools. It is to build habits that hold up when interfaces change and when AI produces a confident answer with a thin evidence base.
Learners practise prompt framing, verification steps, and basic data hygiene. You will see small governance ideas in a friendly form: documenting assumptions, keeping a record of sources, and applying a quick privacy pass before sharing or pasting information. These are unglamorous skills, but they prevent rework and reduce avoidable risk.

The eight modules are intentionally connected. You will use the same verification pass and privacy pass across different tools so the routine becomes automatic. Titles below describe the theme of each module; lessons include examples, short exercises, and checklists.
Module 1: How generative AI behaves
A clear explanation of prompts, context windows, and why an answer can sound certain even when the underlying support is weak. Includes a practical vocabulary for “confidence without coverage.”
Module 2: Using AI for everyday tasks
Drafting, summarizing, planning, and turning messy notes into a usable outline. The emphasis is on getting a first pass quickly while keeping your voice and intent intact.
Module 3: Verifying AI output and claims
A practical review pass: source, logic, numbers, and missing assumptions. You will practise spotting “too neat” stats, invented citations, and screenshots that do not prove what they claim.
Module 4: Privacy-first data handling
What not to paste into tools, how to redact effectively, and how to think about identifiers and sensitive context. This module treats privacy as a quick workflow step, not a lecture.
Module 5: Spreadsheets and simple data
Column hygiene, consistent types, filtering, and a small set of formulas that solve most everyday problems. Includes common failure modes like hidden duplicates and mixed date formats.
Module 6: Light automation for routine work
Practical automation patterns that do not turn into a maintenance project: templates, structured checklists, and simple repeatable steps that reduce copy-paste without fragile setups.
Module 7: Responsible AI as a habit
A methodical approach to responsible use: keep notes on assumptions, avoid “looks right” conclusions, and use a quick fairness-and-safety scan when content affects other people.
Module 8: Your personal digital routine
You assemble the pieces into a practical routine: how you take notes, store documents, verify outputs, and manage information flow. The aim is fewer loose ends and clearer defaults.
What is included
Enrolment includes the full programme sequence, exercises with answer guidance, and 12 months of access to course materials. The teaching style is deliberately calm: short lessons, concrete examples, and a small number of repeatable checks used across modules. That consistency is where most of the value comes from—your review step becomes automatic, and your privacy choices become less improvisational.
